What is the vocative?

is the recipient (or recipients) of the message of a sentence, as not part of this, it is included, but always with commas.

1 .- Mary, do me the favor of sending this letter to Madrid. (Good)
Maria do me the favor of sending this letter to Madrid. (Mal)

If we remove the sentence would remain the same: "Do please send this letter to Madrid"

The vocative is used in dialogues, speeches, greetings, etc.

2. Hi, Sophie, please solve my doubt. (Good) * Hi Sofia
please solve my doubt. (Mal)

3. Dear friends, we are gathered today to ... (well)
* Dear friends we are gathered today to ... (bad)

4. You know, brave soldiers, how they love their country. (Good) * You know
brave soldiers how to love their country. (Mal)

P ero is a detail, never used to eat with you or you pronouns:

5. But you know I'm sincere. (Good)
* But, you, know I'm sincere. (Mal)

6. Although you may not believe. (Good)
* Although you may not believe it. (Mal)
